The Summer Plus Program provides for the social, mental, and physical growth of the camper through a variety of activities and trips in a safe and fun environment.
The program is open to Hanover Township residents entering grades 1 through 6 in September . The program is offered as three, two-week sessions. Your child may be registered for any or all sessions. There will be no refunds for sessions participant cannot attend!
Participants will engage in daily activities such as sports, art, drama, quiet games, and movie viewings, with ratings either G or PG. Please encourage your child to leave all personal belongings (video games, cell phones, etc.) at home. The Summer Plus staff is not responsible for campers’ personal belongings!
Participants entering grades 1-6 will be at Bee Meadow School.
The camp will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. and pick up time will be between 12:15 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. Please be aware that late pickups are a major imposition on the program staff. Therefore, there will be a $1.00 late fee assessed for every minute you are late after 1:05 p.m. Please pay this fee directly to the camp director at the time of pick-up.
Participants are divided into small groups led by head and assistant counselors, which are primarily determined by the child’s grade, gender, and elementary school.
Participants are expected to wear proper attire and sneakers every day. No flip-flops or crocs allowed! Please encourage your child to wear their camp T-shirt and proper footwear on all trips.
Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedures:
Your child must be signed in and signed out of the program each day that he or she attends. This signature must be that of an individual whose name is on Form B: Drop-off and Release Authorization. If none of the authorized individuals are able to sign in/sign out the camper, please provide a written note to your camper’s head counselor indicating the person designated to sign the camper in/out on that day. No camper is allowed to walk or ride his or her bike to this program.
Campers attend one trip to the Bee Meadow Pool and one trip to the Hanover Lanes Bowling Alley per session. The costs of these trips and the on-site programs are included in each session fee.
Campers have the option of attending additional trips for an extra fee. On these days, the camp is still open for those campers not attending the extra trip. Please be aware of the calendar and trip information sheet regarding the different drop-off and pick-up location and times, clothing requirements, and food services. Please be aware that additional trips are filled on a first-come, first serve basis during the registration period. There will be no refunds for sessions participant cannot attend!
