Tree Care in Your Community
Trees promote a healthy environment and increase property values. Dead and dying trees are a detriment and can have devastating effects on persons and property.
A large number of ash trees have been killed in recent months due to the negative impact of the Emerald Ash Borer. Dead ash trees are particularly troublesome due to the brittle nature of the wood. Declining trees should be removed to prevent liability exposure.
Why Hire an Arborist?
Arborists specialize in the care of individual trees. They are knowledgeable about the needs of trees and are trained and equipped to provide proper care. Hiring an arborist is a decision that should not be taken lightly. Ask for references. Ask your neighbors, family, and friends for their positive inter-reaction with tree companies. Make sure the company is insured.
Be aware that New Jersey now mandates that all tree care companies need to have at least 1 Licensed Tree Care Operator (LTCO) or Licensed Tree Expert (LTE) on staff. Additionally, the company needs to be registered with the State of New Jersey, through the Board of Licensed Tree Experts. Their LTCO or LTE registration number should be posted on their trucks.
Tree work is dangerous and should only be done by those who are trained and equipped to work safely in trees. Being prudent in shopping for a tree company can provide you with peace of mind that work that is being done will be done safely and carefully to minimize damage to your property.
